Ideas?

Cole and I will be celebrating our 3 year anniversary in exactly 5 weeks. Any ideas for something we can do or gift ideas or anything? We are on a budget!

Steak Cake

So Amy and I made this cake (well, Amy made it, I just helped decorate and paint it) for a friend's birthday. He is vegetarian, so we thought it would be hilarious. And it was lots of fun too!

Makes me want to open up a cake business! lol

My sweet hubby

I was on my way home from a crappy day at work and Cole called and asked if I could stop at the store and get a few things. So, I went even though I really just wanted to go home. But when I got home and walked through the door, I found all the lights out and this:

It was just a spontaneous thrown together thing, and it was SO SO SO good. It was Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo. mmmm. And he got my favorite flowers and everything. I love my hubby. It made everything all better.

St Pattys Day Dinner

Had the missionaries over for dinner tonight. Here is what we had.

Thats right. I made a green dinner. It was green creamy chicken, green mashed potatoes, green country gravy, and of course, broccoli. Nerdy, I know. But I just wanted to see the Elders' reaction. haha...they loved it. ...Or so they say....

Oh well, at least Dallin enjoyed it. :)

Mud Bath

So since Mags so eloquently insisted, I am posting a post about Dally.
(and just a side note, it makes me wonder if she just goes to everyone's blog on her list who hasn't posted in a while and says: write a new post, please! ...just sayin...and if it's just me, that must mean I'm special.) You know I love you Mags.

Anyway!

Figured I would post some pictures of Dally the other day. It was the funniest thing...
I took him outside to soak up some sun, (sun?...what's that?) since it has been so long since it was warm enough to go outside. Thing is, it was still kinda muddy in the grass from the rainy day before, so I tried to have him avoid the grass and just play on the concrete.
Um....that didn't exactly work out. The concrete lasted a whole 2 minutes. So I said to myself, "self, it won't kill him to get a little dirty I mean he is a boy, after all." So, I let him get a little dirty..........

and then a little more.......

and then this.

Yes, that's right. He took a BATH in the mud. Needless to say, passersby were staring. Probably thought I was some white trash mom who didn't care about her son or what he did. I just figured I would let him have a little fun. After all, he was exploring and discovering. I don't think he has ever played with mud before, so this is a first...of many, probably.
