Family, Skinny Cow, and Horses...

Hello, all!
I am off work today, by some miracle, which gave me some extra time to blog and spend this beautiful Sunday with my wonderful family. You see, I normally work on Sundays at 5, but since I HATE HATE HATE working on Sundays (it goes against all that I believe in about Sundays being my family day and the Sabbath day), I call in before my shift every week just to make sure they absolutely need me. Normally, they say yes come in, so I do, and it is extremely slow and pointless to be there, and I end up going home with next to nothing in tips. But this Sunday, a different manager is closing, one who knows my beliefs and sympathizes with me, so she said I could stay home tonight. So, I decided to celebrate by going on a walk with Cole and Dally, and of course, Sugar. It was so fun! Really, it was! Nature just has a way of completely relaxing me and melting away all of my troubles. We saw some honey suckle, and tasted the nectar from it....if you've never done that, you should...it is fun. And we explored around a pond we found and watched all the turtles, fish, and frogs. Then Sugar ran off and mistook grass for water and fell in. Cole and I just laughed and laughed. She was so cute jumping through the tall weeds of the pasture, Cole and I agreed she looked like a bunny rabbit. :) It was such a good time spent with family and nature...much needed for all of us.

Thanks to a good friend by the name of Polly, I am addicted to Skinny Cow ice cream. Not only are they so so good, they are low fat and low calories! You would never be able to tell though.
Normally, I do not give Dallin much sugar but the other night, I just got home from work, and felt like sitting down relaxing with a skinny cow. I just couldn't resist Dally's precious plea to have a bite....so I thought....why not? And let him have some. We went a little crazy. :)

Not the best picture of me, but it was worth it to show his funny face.
Oh and by the way, I put the ice cream all over my lips on purpose, I promise- just to be silly.

On other news, there is a sweet new couple in the ward who moved all the way from Sunny San Diego. Why anyone would move from there, is beyond me. But last night, they were so nice enough to invite us over for dinner, and then took us to see their horses! Cole and I got to ride them and it was so fun! This isnt a very clear picture, but it was taken from a moving phone, so ....ya. We also let Dallin get on (holding him of course) and he loved it! Too bad we didn't get a picture of that. Oh well, next time.

Well, until next time, Adios!

I LOVE SPRING!!

It is my favorite season. It is hot outside, and I am so ready to go swimming and lay out in the sun. I can't wait to go to Baltimore and explore yet another part of the country. We have been moving around like this for ....well, ever since we've known each other. So it's all we know. I'll tell you what, it's gonna be weird when we stop next summer and settle in somewhere. We leave in mid May which is wayyy later than usual. But Cole needs to finish this semester and boost his GPA, so he can get into Cox School of Business... so we are going to have to wait. If I had it my way, I would go tomorrow. Oh well. Patience is a virtue, as my mom always says.

Work is alright. I like the people I work with...they are fun to be around. I am torn because I am getting tired of the monotony of everyday. Same type of people who come in to eat, same food, same everything day in and day out. BUT I don't want to leave because it seems like every time I start a new job, I stay for a few months and just when I am about to get settled in and make friends, it is time to leave.

Dallin and I went to the park by the church and we had so much fun, we decided to take Daddy the next day. I have pics of both:

Dally and Daddy with his "nerdy" (he thinks so) glasses that turn into sunglasses when he goes outside.

Mommy and Dally on the sea-saw

Sugar was scared and didn't want to jump down while the swing was still moving. haha

Our adorable little fire ball.

Nightmare

Last week, I had a HORRIBLE night at work. I was very very sick...to the point of tears. I wanted nothing more than to go home.....even though it would be empty because Cole and Dallin were in Utah. When I finally left, I got in my car, called Cole and started to leave. When I looked behind me the window in the back was down. I pushed the button to roll it up, but it wouldn't budge. So I put it back into park, and got out only to discover a pile of broken glass on the ground and the rest of the window kicked under the car. It had been broken into. I was already feeling like complete crap....this is the last thing that I needed. To make a long story short, after crying some more, freaking out to Cole over the phone, going inside, calling the cops, waiting forever for them to get here, finally filing a report, almost passing out, having my parents come pick me up, and collapsing on their couch, I fell asleep after a long torturous night. The next few days I was very sick and had to call in and not show up for work.
It is now over a week later, and we are just now getting our window replaced. We have done some calculations and have found almost $1000 worth of stuff taken...like a couple bags full of college text books, clothes and such, my wallet, which luckily did not have any cash, but it had my bank cards and some gift cards in it. The most important thing that was stolen is Dallin's SS card. I know, I shouldn't have that in my wallet, but I needed it one time, and forgot to take it out. What sucks is that they won't give him a new number....just a replacement card with the same number, and that means anyone can apply for credit under his name. Identity Theft.
And today, I just found out that they charged my card like $150 before we had a chance to call in and report it stolen. Luckily, theres a chance I will get that back. I definitely learned my lesson to never leave my purse in the car where "window shoppers"-as the cop put it- can see it. I thought I covered it with my jacket, but obviously not good enough. This is all just a nightmare.
