Thanksgiving is coming the goose is getting fat
Please put a penny in the old man's hat
If you haven't got a penny then a half penny will do
If you haven't got a half penny
Then God bless you!

This is the place?
Well, here we are in Utah. Well, we've been here for almost 3 weeks now, I am just now getting around to blogging about it. It is beautiful here, and even though I had an emotional break down on the way from the airport (true story), I am happy now. We found a beautiful house with plenty of room and a gorgeous view of the lake and mountains. And though I still hold my previous statements about living in the "bubble", it isnt that bad. There...I said it. Out here in Saratoga Springs, I am kind of secluded from the hustle bustle of the city anyway. It takes a good 30 min to get to Provo.
I went to our ward last Sunday and fell in love. The people are so friendly and just have a warmth about them. I just met them and feel like I have known them alot longer. It makes me look forward to going to church every week, which is something we need.
It is taking me forever to get completely settled but for the most part we have everything put away.
I will post pics of the house next time.

Bottom line is, even though I am a little home sick and want to pack up my family/friends in Tx and take them with me, I love my life here and we need this fresh start in life. Cole's new schedule is more than I could ask for, he is home by 5 every evening. I love it. Definitely better than the previous schedule of 12-9pm every weekday and 9-9 on Sat. That is all I have known since we have been together and now that we have a sense of stability and normalcy, I can sit back, relax, and take care of my home and family. Where there once was a stressful unstable life, now there is serenity and contentment. The only down side is we dont get to travel as much and see the different sights. But hopefully that will be made up by roadtrips and mini vacations here and there.
On a side note, we started P90X and it is kicking our trash. Cole is more dedicated than I am but I am trying. It is just a huge commitment and change in diet and exercise. We'll see what comes of it.
And as for Halloweenie, here are some pics of fun with my nieces and sister:
I will post pics of the house next time.

Howdy Folks
It has been forever and a day since I last blogged. I am not going to apologize this time because I am tired of apologizing and I'm not really all that sorry. I mean I have a life! And even when I am bored and have nothing else to do, I still don't blog because I just don't feel like it sometimes. It's my blog, okay? Anyway, enough of the sassy talk, on to what we've been up to lately.
We are currently in Dallas, TX living with my sister in her guest bedroom, eating all her food and using all her amenities. Don't judge, I clean her house when she is busy and make up for her kindness in other ways as well. Seriously, though she is being very gracious and we are very grateful for her generosity.
For all who don't know, we came down here from Baltimore just for a few weeks to set up a booth at the grand ol' State Fair of Texas (which is btw one of my very favorite childhood memories, going to the fair with family, that is). The fair is treating us quite well at the moment, hopefully it will continue and we will go to UT with some good savings in our pockets (or at least substantially less debt).
On the other hand, I am counting down the days when we can finally move up to UT and start Cole's new position with his company, and have a sense of normalcy in our lives that we have never really had due to Cole's traveling job. I have very much enjoyed time with my family here in TX and will miss them very much. Hopefully I can get my 2 younger sisters to come visit me during Christmas break. We shall see.

Utah...oh boy.
Wow, this summer has FLOWN by! ...well, sort of. There were some dry spots.

Some updates:
We were planning for the past year to come back to TX after this summer and settle down and finish school. Well, things don't always go as planned, because it just so happens that Cole has a job opportunity in Utah and we will now most likely move there. Thats right, I said Utah. In all it's Mormon bubble glory. I am going to have to contain my anxiety about this decision. Don't get me wrong, I love Utah for it's beautiful mountains, perfect Autumns, luscious grass, camping, fishing, and you can't forget BYU. But I am not looking forward to living in the bubble. If you are so curious as to what the bubble is, ask me personally so I don't further offend my Utah friends more than I already have. Speaking of which, I am very very excited to be able to spend some long awaited time with my friends and family up there.
I am, however very very sad about leaving my wonderful, beloved Texas and all that comes with it behind. Of course we will be down for visits, but it is not the same. I will miss so much; my nieces and nephews growing up, my sister's last years of HS, and other sister's first years of college, and so on and so forth.
The decision has not yet been officially made, but it kinda has, know what I mean? Whatever is best for our family is what we will do, regardless of my reservations.
On to recent pics!
Went to a beach near here, I forgot what it is called, but Cole renamed it Lame beach. It was pretty lame because the lifeguards wouldnt let us swim past our waist. But other than that, we had alot of fun! Dallin got buried in the sand, and I drew a merman tail around him. :)
Did I mention we bought a truck!?? ya....It is Cole's new baby.

We also took a trip to Gettysburg where we learned a whole lot more than we knew about the battle there.
We got Dallin a pop gun (Cole's idea, of course) and he looooved it. Wouldn't stop playing with it.
Cole tied me up and left me for dead. Some husband.

Picture Overload
wow...I can't believe it has been over a month since I last posted! Just hangin out here in Baltimore area seein the sights! I figured since it has been so long, I'll give you all a picture overload of events that have happened since I last posted. Enjoy!
First is Dallin's first haircut. As you can see, he really needed it!
Dallin threw a fit because he was scared of the noise from the clippers. Cole had to literally hold him down.
I was so scared I would screw it up, but it turned out ok!
And he is still the cutest boy in the world, even with his red locks gone.
Next is our sushi night! I found this awesome revolving sushi place down the street and Cole and I knew that if we took pics and sent them to his parents they would get grossed out. (They are not fans of eating raw fish)

But it is soooo good!

And then there was 4th of July! My dad was in town and we all went downtown for some inner harbor fun!

This is the annual parade, which amused Dallin.

We got to tour Fort McHenry, which is the place the Star Spangled Banner was written.
Dad and I rockin our Tx pride

....and then there is Cole. With his Utah flag. All alone. Poor guy. It's not his fault he was born in Utah.
haha....just kidding. But only a little. You know I love you, honey.
And then last week was our big scare. Long story short, Dallin had sort of an asthma attack. We took him to the ER, which then turned into a ride on the ambulance to the ICU and an overnight stay at the hospital downtown. It was scary, stressful, and loooong. But we are just glad Dallin is ok.
He is not used to bottles anymore, but seemed to know what he was doing!
mmm. fruit loops.
Daddy is playing Dr. with him. He loves his Daddy.
And then some other pictures of random fun here in Baltimore.

I think this one speaks for itself.

Lookin mighty fine.
He didnt dare go near those wild kids and scary water.
Trying to be like Mommy at Trader Joes. I wish they had TJs in Tx.
Diggin up dinosaur bones at the Science Center.

Fathers Day #2!
If you have read my previous post about Fathers Day 2 weeks ago, then you will understand the title.

This Fathers Day was pretty low key. Kinda boring...in a very good and relaxing way. But What I want to share is Dallin's 3 "firsts"
1. He isn't much for cuddling when he first wakes up. I mean, maybe for a few seconds, but then its over and he is on to bigger better things. But this morning, he gave Cole the ultimate Father's Day gift. After I got him from his crib, I took him to Daddy to say good morning as I usually do. Except this time, he cuddled up between us and fell back asleep. We were shocked! He slept with us for another hour! It was amazing. We love cuddling with that boy.
2. After going back and forth on whether I really wanted to, I decided it was time for his first hair cut. At first, I tried it with thinning shears, but that would have taken over an hour with how wiggly he was being. He was wondering what the heck I was doing to him. He would not stop turning his head, regardless of Col'e attempts to distract him. So, out came the electric clipper. I BUZZED my baby boy's hair away! I was sooo sad! And the screamed the whole time because he was afraid of the unfamiliar noise coming towards his head. So Cole had to literally hold his head down and feed him treats. It turned out ok I guess. but I think he looks waaay too grown up now. Its like he isn't a baby anymore! So sad...
Before.....
After.....
and 3. After I stripped him down to bathe him, he started to pee. So Cole called his name and startled him, which made him stop peeing, and opened the toilet lid, pointed him toward the water, and said "go ahead...you can pee now" And there you have it, he started peeing in the toilet! I couldn't do anything but stare with amazement and giggle as my 17 month old boy peed in the toilet. It was oddly, the cutest thing in the world.
