Our Saturday Valentines Day

Since Valentines Day was on a Sunday this year, and Cole and I believe that it is important to keep the Sabbath Day holy by not going out and spending money and making people work, we decided to make Saturday our V'Day. Cole made plans to go to the temple, see a movie, and then have dinner. Well, We got all ready, drove to the temple, and...... it was closed due to power shortage of some kind....great. Now what? Well, we went to the LDS Bookstore (Dallas version of Deseret Book) and just looked around. We ran into a girl who worked there and to make a long story short, she gave us some great insight on life and shared some personal experiences, and we left there feeling enlightened. She is an amazing woman.

Then we went to see Valentines Day at the AMC Theatre. It was pretty cute. I liked it for the most part...minus a couple of scenes. Typical.

And because it was already getting late and we are low on funds, we just went home and had dinner.

So, looking at the day, it doesnt seem like it would be all that exciting and fun. But it really was. I had a GREAT day just spending time with the one I love. I went home a happy woman.

PLUS we made these for each other.

It says: Dear Cole, Even though This Valentines Day gift is a little [Extreme] I knew I would [Skor] with this one since you like candy. Together, life has taken us many places from New [York] to California! We have one cute little [Sugar Baby] and since then our relationship is still [Red Hot]. When I'm with you my life is filled with [Bliss] and my heart is filled with [Almond Joy]. I know sometimes its hard to live payday to [Payday] but you have always given me a [Good and Plenty] life. And even though sometimes you are a [Nerd] and play alot of [Twix] on me, you always know how to make me [Snicker]. You took my life from a [Zero] and turned it into a beautiful [Symphony]. All I know is I would fall to [Pieces] without you. You will always be my [Sweetart].

All the things in the [brackets] as you can see are candy bar names. Pretty cute, huh?

But he still outdid me by making this DELICIOUS cake.

It turns out Cole is quite the baker!
